A domain appraisal consists in assessing a monetary value for a domain name, either for sale, purchase or accounting purposes.

Most domains & websites marketplaces have a section of evaluation by peers. This "human" evaluation, as well as those guidelines and the archives of the domain names sales will generally prove more useful than the free appraisal tools.
